Believe The Dream

Gary's story is one of childhood dreams becoming a reality much later in life.

in 2012, at the tender age of 51, Gary heard a song that had so much of an emotional impact, that he was compelled to take singing lessons to find out if he could sing the song, and so do it justice.

After twelve lessons, Gary performed this song in front of an invited audience. This was the first time his wife of 26 years had ever heard him sing. The song is, Bring Him Home.

Since then, Gary has become a professional actor and singer. He has appeared in the Old Vic's award winning 'Epidemic', and in the movie, Les Misérables. He was a principal actor in a show at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane, to standing ovations, and was given his first lead as, Aimable in, The Baker's Wife to 4 and 5 star reviews.

"It is really worth wondering why Bland came into the business so late, but he is a shining illustration of the good old saying that “it’s never too late….” His voice, rich in texture, can croon all the way from the sweet and mellow to the grand and striking. Furthermore, his stage presence falls in between the cute boy-man and the guy next door, appealing to a wide variety of audiences. Not only can he sing, but he can tell a story and instinctively connect with his audience.  A thoroughly enjoyable night out."
